About OIDC/LDAP/SAML
OpenID Connect (OIDC) is an open authentication protocol that works on top of the OAuth 2.0 framework. Targeted toward consumers, it allows individuals to use single sign-on to access relying party sites, such as an email provider or social network, to authenticate their identities.
Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) is an open, vendor-neutral application protocol for accessing and maintaining that data. It handles authentication, so users can sign on just once and access many different files on a server.
Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) is an XML-based open-standard for transferring identity data between two parties, that makes single sign-on technology possible by providing a way to authenticate a user once and then communicate that authentication to multiple applications. SAML 2.0 is the most current version of SAML.
OIDC/LDAP/SAML are available to Hygraph Enterprise customers. Contact us or your customer success manager for configuration details.
